DESCRIPTION:Dieter Ammann’s concerto for violin and chamber orchestra is entitled ‘unbalanced instability’ – a work that demands a great deal of balance and stability from the performers in order for its character to come to the fore. The solo part is performed by Carolin Widmann, who has long been deeply engaged with contemporary compositions.
