The organ course for children takes place from 09.30 to 16.00 in the club hall and is free of charge. Please use entrance V at Gotthardstrasse 5.

The organ is also known as the "Queen of Instruments" because of its size and splendid appearance. It can thunder, sing, whistle and with its many different timbres you sometimes think you can hear a whole orchestra. It is not only played with the hands, but there are also keys for the feet. What a challenge for the organist! Incidentally, our "Queen" is still quite young: she was newly built by Kuhn Organ Builders and inaugurated in 2021 in the newly renovated Tonhalle.

On Organ Day for children, you can explore the world of the organ as a puzzle course. See the Tonhalle organ from the inside in 3D and listen to the most famous organ pieces on a jukebox: here you can learn all about this fascinating instrument up close and solve a puzzle at each station. In the organ concerts, the organ is presented live in all its diversity, and the children can even pull out the stops themselves.

Two organ concerts for children are on the programme at 13:00 and 14:15, in which the instrument becomes a storyteller.
