Review of the klubZ experience

For a drink with Anastasia Kobekina

The young and extremely talented cellist told klubZ about giving and taking in concert.

Yes, Haydn's "Trauersinfonie" was also fun, but when Anastasia Kobekina came on stage with her cello, we were full of expectation. Later, when we asked her at the Meet & Greet what goes through her mind when she's waiting for her first performance, she said with a laugh: "everything, but not whether I've switched off the iron".
She started the first movement of Haydn's cello concerto with this lightness and light-heartedness. Anna Kardos from the NZZ also wrote: "...because her playing emanates an energy that is hard to resist."
Immediately after the first movement, applause was heard and one was tempted to join in. "There are so many rules to follow in the concert hall, but I think it's so nice when someone shows me their enthusiasm through applause," says Anastasia Kobekina. And that's exactly what she wants to create: enthusiasm. A give and take in concert. Showing what she feels openly to the audience and letting them feel it in a similar way. It definitely resonated with us.

After the interval, Semyon Bychkov conducted Schubert's Symphony No. 2 before we met Anastasia Kobekina for a meet & greet in the Kleine Tonhalle. Almost 80 people were in attendance and witnessed the fact that Anastasia will indeed be registering at klubZ. We will report back!
